On Sunday, rapper Ye, previously Kanye West, returned to Twitter, tweeting, “Testing Testing Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked.”

Twitter stated last month that West’s account had been locked “due to a violation of Twitter’s policy.”

West also said in the now-deleted tweet, “The funny thing is I truly can’t be Anti Semitic since black people are actually Jew.”

West was also banned from Instagram earlier this month, claiming on the right-wing social network Parler that he had been “kicked from Instagram for 30 days.”

He claimed the restriction was imposed because of a remark he made regarding Jews to Russell Simmons, co-founder of Def Jam Records and Phat Farm, a clothing business…

His Instagram account can still be accessed…

West’s return to Twitter comes less than 24 hours after Elon Musk, the platform’s new owner, announced the reinstatement of several other suspended accounts, including former President Donald Trump…

It’s unclear whether Musk had anything to do with the rapper’s account being unrestricted.
