Elijah Wood surprised his fans recently with an unexpected revelation about his personal life.

In an interview with WSJ.Magazine, the actor disclosed that he has two children waiting for him at home: his 3-year-old son Evan and a 14-month-old daughter, whose name he chose not to disclose.

This revelation came as a surprise to many, as Wood had not previously announced the birth of his second child, nor did he mention his partner, 42-year-old Mette-Marie Kongsved, being pregnant again.

Expressing his joy in embracing fatherhood once more, Wood shared that he finds great pleasure in fulfilling his parental responsibilities.

He mentioned that attending to his daughter during the night when she was a newborn was not challenging for him, and he continues to wake up early to prepare breakfast for his children, a task he genuinely enjoys.

When asked why he chose to keep the birth of his daughter private and has yet to share any photos of his children, Wood explained that he considers himself a private person and prefers not to divulge the details of his personal life to the public.

Wood’s relationship with Kongsved was also kept under wraps for a significant period.

Although they met and fell in love on the set of the film “I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore” in 2016, their romance remained unknown until 2018, when they were spotted together in Pasadena.

Despite speculation about their engagement due to a ring on Kongsved’s finger, Wood has not confirmed any plans for engagement.
