Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis, wants to clear up misconceptions about his life amid his battle with frontotemporal dementia.
She addressed what she calls a “clickbait” article suggesting that the actor’s life lacks joy. Emma shared a video on her Instagram on March 3, emphasizing that this portrayal is far from accurate.
Emma stressed the importance of dispelling the notion that a diagnosis of neurocognitive disease means the end of happiness. She urged people not to believe that there’s nothing left after such a diagnosis.
Bruce’s family, including Emma, their daughters Mabel and Evelyn, and his ex-wife Demi Moore with their children Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, revealed in February 2023 that Bruce had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
About a year earlier, they had disclosed his battle with aphasia, another condition affecting cognitive abilities, leading to his decision to step back from acting.
In her Instagram post, Emma shared thoughts on how Bruce’s health challenges have affected him and their loved ones.
She acknowledged feelings of grief and sadness but emphasized that a new chapter filled with love, connection, joy, and happiness has begun. Emma emphasized that this is the current reality of their journey.
