12-Year-Old Brought The Crowd To Their Feet With Incredible Performance

Singing “Hold My Hand,” the Oscar-nominated song Lady Gaga recorded for the 2022 film Top Gun: Maverick, 12-year-old UK native Alfie Andrew hit all the high notes and earned a standing ovation from all four judges on America’s Got Talent.

Adding some humor, Howie Mandel told the young singer that he hit every note, then quipped, “The only thing standing between you and an amazing singing career is puberty,” which made Andrew laugh.

Sofía Vergara expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “I want to buy your record right now. I think you’re gonna be a rock star.” Simon Cowell added that Andrew had a very “distinct” voice and praised his decision to come to America, stating, “The people are going to remember you, and they’re going to root for you. You’re so cool. I just can’t get over that.”

After all four judges gave Andrew yeses, Cowell joined him on stage to compare their similar jeans and shirt outfits before walking the young performer off stage to his mother.
