Tim Conway and Harvey Korman were pure comedy gold together, and this skit from The Carol Burnett Show is a perfect example. Tim plays a firefighter who couldn’t be more clueless, and watching Harvey try to keep it together is absolutely priceless.

We all respect firefighters, police officers, and nurses for running toward danger when everyone else is running away. They’re the real heroes. But in this skit, Tim’s character is definitely not the firefighter you want coming to save the day.

The sketch starts with Harvey trapped in a smoky room, frantically calling for help and wondering when anyone will show up. Just as things look grim, Tim finally arrives… but his way of getting inside the house is such a disaster that Harvey can’t stop laughing.

Things only get funnier when Harvey needs mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and Tim clearly isn’t sure how to handle it. Instead of a rescue, it turns into a full-on laugh fest, with both men collapsing on the floor in fits of giggles.

This skit is a wonderful reminder of why Tim and Harvey’s partnership was so special — their humor still brightens any day.
