An amazing children’s choir performs “You Raise Me Up” and it’s absolutely amazing and powerful…

When you hear a really outstanding performer for the first time, it might give you chills. When they sing, this group of young children always manages to give me chills thanks to their incredible performance. Having said that, their performance of “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban is nothing less than extraordinary. The choir has a beautiful sound, and one can feel the members’ passion through their performance.

The song has been covered several times throughout the years, with Josh Groban’s opera version being the most well-known. Personally, we picture the Westlife rendition, but other musicians include Susan Boyle and Il Divo. This is easily comparable to the best, and it may even be better than the original! The kids are amazing. Additionally, the lyrics are highly uplifting and inspirational. The message still holds true now as it did in 2003. Check it out for yourself:

“When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me

“You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

“There is no life – no life without its hunger
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly
But when you come and I am filled with wonder
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity

“You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

“You raise me up to more than I can be…”

When the children of the Color Choir sing them, it’s simple to fully understand and appreciate what the songs are saying. Leave a comment below telling us what you think of this lovely interpretation, and SHARE it with the people you care about the most, including your family and friends.
