However, there was a philanthropic component to it as well.
Jennifer Garner usually likes to keep her birthdays low-key, but she recently said that her 50th trip around the sun was the reason for the biggest party, maybe ever.
The actress told up about the extravagant celebration, which she stated began as a little gathering during the Easter weekend but “snowballed” into an all-out birthday extravaganza over the course of the weekend. The talk was among the things featured on the cover of the most recent issue of Town & Country. “It was like a wedding for me,” she joked about the huge crowd. “I couldn’t believe that I was really doing it.”
Even though the celebration seemed out of character for Garner, she explained how she made sure to adapt the event around one of her most valued interests: charity donations. The celebrity said that one of her non-negotiable requirements was for each visitor to help fill 5,000 bags with enough food to feed a family of four for the charity Blessings in a Backpack. She added that she “put everyone to work” in order to achieve this goal.
Although Jennifer’s additional birthday wish was obviously kind, she also spoke out during the conversation about her feelings towards that particular label. “I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t be nice. I am very lucky,” was her response. “My life is beautiful. You can’t always count on me to be nice. I can also be rude or quiet, or I can be very serious about what I want to get done.”
Garner said, “I don’t feel like I’m underestimated in that way. I’m not afraid to stand up for myself and say, “Just so you know, I’m not going to go for this.” When that happens, I don’t want you to be surprised to find out that I’m just a human being and a real person.”
