Moms definitely deserve some well-deserved time off every now and then. However, when this parent decided to treat herself to a luxurious flight experience in business class, leaving her baby and boyfriend in economy, some people raised concerns about her moral judgment.
The British woman Ellis Cochlin admitted that she had left her 10-month-old daughter in economy with her boyfriend Rob during a flight while she flew in business. This made her wonder if it was “horrible” of her to do so.
Ellis opted for business class during her 11-hour flight from Paris to Los Angeles, leaving her baby girl and Rob in coach, as reported by Fox News based on her TikTok video.
The “regretful” mother shared in her video describing the flight: “Am I horrible for leaving them both in economy?”
“It was my only opportunity to have a baby-free flight, and I took it. What would you do?”
Ellis said: “The thought of having a baby-free flight was like music to my ears.
“Traveling long distances alone with a baby can be quite challenging, even though I love that girl with all my heart.”
Ellis’s fancy flight made people talk about her choice. One TikTok user said, “You’ve spent SO MUCH time caring for that baby alone, so you definitely earned this!”
Someone else wrote: “It’s a little unusual, but everyone has their own preferences.”
Another person added, “There’s no need to feel guilty! We mothers often crave some alone time to catch our breath.”
Ellis had mentioned that she felt like she was indulging herself because it was the first time she wasn’t traveling alone with her daughter, Prim.
She confessed, “I have never flown with anyone else. It has only been Prim and me.”
“The prospect of receiving help during this flight was absolutely incredible.”
The mother who loves to travel shared her experience of how the airline tried to charge her family a significant amount of money for her baby to have a separate seat, even though infants can fly for free in economy class.
In addition, Ellis provided a justification for her decision, explaining that Rob had never flown with her before and expressed a strong desire to do so.
The daring mother, who has referred to herself as a “British girl living in California,” has chronicled her solo flights with Prim in previous videos, where she has shared the challenges of traveling alone with a baby.
“The thought of having a baby-free flight was like music to my ears,” Ellis admitted
