Piano Playing Nurse Stuns Everyone With A Midnight Performance After A Tough Day At Hospital

An unexpected musical moment brought joy to a hospital lobby when a health worker showcased his incredible piano skills during a quiet early morning break.

Danielle Herby, a staff member at Golisano Children’s Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida, was taking a break when she was drawn in by the sound of a soulful melody. Following the music, she found fellow health worker Foley—an emergency department technician—seated at the lobby piano, performing a stunning version of Michael Bublé’s Feeling Good, dressed in full scrubs and a mask.

Foley had been playing to unwind, unaware that anyone was watching—let alone filming. Danielle, deeply moved by the moment, recorded the performance and later shared it on TikTok, where it quickly gained traction and made its way to Instagram.

“I just went down to the lobby to play and clear my mind… didn’t realize I was being filmed,” Foley later shared, surprised to find himself featured in Instagram stories. The clip soon reached his mother, Jillian, who proudly reacted online, saying, “That’s my son on his break—we saw this making the rounds!”

According to the Western Journal, the video surpassed 5 million views in just a few days, touching countless hearts and even bringing some viewers to tears. Foley had previously played the same piece in another Fort Myers facility, Health Park’s main lobby.

Danielle, grateful to have witnessed the impromptu concert, said, “It was such a gift to be on break at that moment.” She plans to keep sharing his performances as a tribute to the heart and talent of healthcare workers.
