Michael Jackson’s Only Daughter Has Changed So Much—See What Paris Jackson Looks Like Today

When the world said goodbye to Michael Jackson in June 2009, the image that stayed with millions of people was of his daughter. Eleven-year-old Paris stood at the memorial service, spoke through tears, and told the world what kind of father he had been to her. It was a moment that made her famous in her own right, and it was a long time ago.

Today, Paris Jackson is 28 years old, and the little girl in the black-and-white memorial photos is almost impossible to find in the woman she has become.

Born on April 3, 1998, Paris grew up as the middle of Michael’s three children, and his only daughter. Her childhood was famously sheltered, and the public rarely saw the children without masks or veils. When she finally stepped into the light as a teenager, the contrast was striking. The girl who had grown up hidden became a young woman with a strong sense of how she wanted to be seen.

Her look has changed a great deal over the years. Gone is the soft, long-haired teenager from the early 2010s. In her place is an artist with a grunge-leaning, rock-inspired style, a collection of tattoos, and an easy, unpolished confidence. She moves between red carpets and small music venues with the same relaxed energy, and she is rarely styled to look like anyone but herself.

Her career has changed just as much. Paris first made headlines as a model, appearing on magazine covers and in fashion campaigns. She also tried acting, with roles including the TV series Star and the film Gringo. But music was always where she was headed.

In 2020, she released her debut solo album, wilted, a folk- and alternative-leaning record co-produced by Andy Hull and Robert McDowell of Manchester Orchestra. It reached number one on the iTunes Top Alternative Albums chart. The album also featured Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready on the track “lighthouse.” Over the years, she has shared bills with acts like Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus and The Revivalists.

This year has been one of her biggest yet. After performing at BottleRock 2026 and releasing the single “teenage drama,” Paris announced her first-ever headlining run, the Zombies Tour, which kicked off July 20 in Omaha. She has also been supporting The Pretty Reckless on select North American dates.

In August 2026, she released her second studio album, HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE, on Republic Records. Described as an alternative pop record built on organic guitars and first-person lyrics, it explores resilience and self-acceptance. Paris has called it a collision of sound, experience and emotion.

Now she is taking the show overseas. Her European dates include Paris on October 10, Berlin on October 12, Amsterdam on October 14, and her first-ever London concert on October 16 at Downstairs at the Dome in Tufnell Park.

Paris has also spoken openly over the years about her struggles with mental health, and she has become more protective of the private bond she shares with her father’s memory. She has chosen a musical path very different from his, one built on her own voice, her own genre and her own terms.

The little girl who once stood in front of the world in grief has grown into a confident, tattooed, guitar-wielding artist with a Europe-wide tour, and she looks nothing like the child the world remembers.

Michael Jackson’s only daughter has changed so much, and by every sign she is just getting started.
