At 53, Heidi Klum is still one of the busiest women in entertainment. Behind the red carpets, the television contracts and the famously over-the-top Halloween costumes, though, the thing she talks about most is her family.
Klum is a mother of four. Her eldest, Leni, is her daughter with former partner Flavio Briatore, while Henry and two other children are with her ex-husband, Seal. Seal later adopted Leni, and the four siblings have grown up as one close unit. Today they are young adults and teenagers with very different relationships to the spotlight.
Leni and Henry, the two eldest, have followed their mother into fashion. Klum says she isn’t worried about it, because the two understand that the industry is more than glitz and glamour. In her words, they have seen how much behind-the-scenes work goes into it, from long conference calls with producers to planning concepts and photo shoots.
That closeness showed in September. Leni and Henry joined their mother at HeidiFest by Heidi Klum ahead of Oktoberfest 2026 at the Hofbräuhaus in Munich on September 17. Leni wore a corseted bodice with colorful floral details that matched her mother’s floral headpiece. Mother and children were a united front, and the event showed how easily the two eldest now share a stage with Heidi.
Klum has said that family time is a priority. She says the household has always eaten dinner around the table, with everyone sharing their day. She jokes that her children are often stunned by some of her stories, like the time she sang with Snoop Dogg or Tiësto, and ask how on earth that happened.
The younger two, Johan and Lou, keep a much lower profile. Lou was recently seen in public for a rare outing. She and her mother were spotted on a stylish coffee run in Los Angeles, joined by the family dog, Fritz, on September 10. Moments like this are uncommon, because Klum has long protected her younger children’s privacy.
Husband Tom Kaulitz, the Tokio Hotel guitarist she married in 2019, is a big part of that blended family. Klum has said one of the sweetest things he ever did was ask her kids for permission before proposing, and that he involved them in the plan. In 2026, Heidi Klum’s life is split between a busy career and an increasingly adult family. Two of her children are building careers in fashion, two are growing up mostly away from the cameras, and all of them still gather around the same dinner table.
