He pushed a homeless boy to the ground… seconds later he realized something that froze him in shock

It was a cold autumn evening. On the edge of a busy city street sat a small boy. His clothes were worn, his hands were dirty, and in his eyes there was a kind of tiredness children usually do not have.

He had been sitting in the same place for hours.

People walked past him without looking.

Some hurried by, others even turned their heads away so they wouldn’t have to see him.

The little boy stayed silent. He simply watched the people passing by, as if he were waiting for someone.

Suddenly, a black luxury car stopped across the street.

The doors opened.

A middle-aged man stepped out, wearing an expensive suit and walking with confidence. He was one of the city’s well-known businessmen.

The man headed toward the entrance of a nearby building, but suddenly he noticed the little boy.

The boy walked a few steps toward him.

“Sir…” he said softly.

The man turned with annoyance.

“What do you want?”

“I… I just wanted to ask for a little food…”

The man looked him up and down.

Anger appeared on his face.

“Instead of working, you’re begging on the street?”

The boy quickly shook his head.

“No… I just—”

But the man didn’t listen.

“Get away from here!” he shouted.

The boy stayed where he was.

Maybe he didn’t understand. Maybe he was simply too tired.

The man angrily stepped forward and shoved him.

The boy fell to the ground.

People turned their heads, but no one came closer.

The boy curled up from the pain, but he didn’t cry.

He simply looked at the man.

At that moment, the man’s gaze stopped on the boy’s face.

Something made him pause.

He stepped closer.

A small, old medallion was hanging from the boy’s neck.

The man suddenly froze.

He recognized it.

It was the same medallion he had given his little son many years ago.

The son… who had disappeared years earlier.

The man’s face turned pale.

Slowly, he knelt beside the boy.

“That medallion… where did you get it?”

The boy looked at him in confusion.

“I’ve always had it… my mom said it was from my father.”

The man’s hands began to tremble.

He looked into the boy’s eyes again.

Now he saw something he hadn’t noticed before.

Those eyes…

They were the same.

The same as his own.

The man took a heavy breath.

Just a few minutes earlier, he had pushed a stranger to the ground.

But now he realized the terrible truth.

That boy…

was his son.
